Waco is a town in central Texas, the county seat, and McLennan County's largest city, Texas, United States. It is located halfway between Dallas and Austin, near the Brazos River and I-35. The city has a population of more than 124,000 which makes it the state's 22nd most populous city. For thousands of years, indigenous peoples occupied areas along the river. The Wichita Indian tribe known as the "Waco" inhabited the territory of present-day Waco in ancient times. The city of Waco is 95 miles tall. Notable attractions at Waco include the Hawaiian Falls Water Park and Texas' Grand Lodge, one of the world's largest Grand Lodges.
