Yonkers is a town in New York's Westchester County. It is New York State's fourth most populous city, behind New York City, Buffalo, and Rochester. Yonkers' population is over 195,000. It is an inner New York City suburb, just north of the Bronx and about two miles north of Manhattan's northernmost point. Throughout Yonkers, main roads with restricted access include Interstate 87 (the New York State Thruway), Saw Mill, Bronx River, Sprain Brook, and Cross County Parkways. Key surface streets are US 9, NY 9A, and 100. Yonkers Raceway is number one employer in the cities.
