Pueblo is a municipality of home rule which is the county seat and the most populous town in Pueblo County, Colorado, United States. Over 105,000 inhabitants make it the 267th most populous city in the United States and the 9th largest in Colorado. Pueblo is in the center of the Metropolitan Statistical Area of Pueblo. Pueblo sits at the confluence of the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek, 112 miles south of Denver's Colorado State Capitol. Pueblo is one of America's largest steel-producing cities, which is why Pueblo is referred to as the "Steel City." The total surface area is 54 miles.
