Killeen is a town located in Bell County, Texas, US. Its population is more than 127921 people. Making it the 21st most populous city in Texas, and the largest of Bell County's three main towns. It is the principal city of Metropolitan Statistical Area Killeen Temple Fort Hood. Killeen is 154.3 kilometers southwest of Dallas and 146 kilometers northeast of the city. KIlleen is in the immediate vicinity of Fort Hood's main canton. Its economy depends on the post's activities, and the soldiers stationed there and their families. Because of its rapid development and heavy influx of troops, it's known as a military "boom city.".
