Garden Grove is a city located in northern Orange County, California, USA, 34 miles southeast of Los Angeles City in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles with a population of over 170,000. State Route 22, also known as the Garden Grove Freeway, goes in an east-west direction through the area. West Garden Grove is defined as the western portion of the city. Garden Grove is home to two stage theatres, Gem Theater and Amphitheater Festival. Shakespeare Orange County hosts the Festival Amphitheatre, which holds an annual Shakespeare Festival every summer.
