Evansville is a city in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, and county seat. The population is estimated at 117,429, making it the third-most populous city in the state after Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, the largest city in Southern Indiana, and the United States' 232nd-most populous city. It is the economic, medical, and cultural center of the tri-state area of Southwestern Indiana and Illinois-Indiana-Kentucky.
