Chattanooga is a town in and the county seat of Hamilton County, Tennessee along the Georgian neighboring Tennessee River. It is the fourth largest city in Tennessee and one of East Tennessee's two major cities, along with Knoxville, with an estimated population of 180,557 in 2018. Chattanooga City covers a three-state region comprising Southeast Tennessee, Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama. Big industry driving the economy includes automobile, advanced engineering, food and beverage processing, health care, banking, tourism, back office and corporate headquarters.
