West Valley City is a Salt Lake County city and a U.S. state of Utah suburb of Salt Lake City. The population is over 129,000 which makes it Utah's second-largest city. In 1980, the city was incorporated from a large, rapidly growing unincorporated area, known in various ways as Granger, Hunter, Chesterfield, and Redwood. It houses both the Maverik Center and the USANA Amphitheater. West valley City has a total area of 35 square miles.
