Pasadena is a city located 11 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is estimated to have more than 141,000 residents making it California's 40th largest city. This is one of the San Gabriel Valley's main cultural centres. Pasadena is considered to host the annual Rose Bowl football match and the Roses Parade Competition. It also houses several institutions of science and culture, including Caltech, Pasadena City College, and Fuller Theological Seminary. Pasadena is a part of the original Mexican land grant called Rancho del Rincon de San Pascual, so called on Easter Sunday because it was deeded.
