Oxnrd is a city in Ventura County, United States, California. It is the most populated city in Ventura County on California's South Coast, and the 21st most populous city in California. Oxnard, which was incorporated in 1903, lies approximately 60 miles west of downtown Los Angeles and is part of the larger Greater Los Angeles area. It sits on the western edge of the fertile Oxnard Plain, adjacent to the strawberries and lima beans agricultural centre. Oxnard is also a major transport center in Southern California, stopping at Amtrak, Union Pacific, Metrolink, Greyhound and Intercalifornias. It also has a small regional airport, Airport Oxnard.
